About the event

In this seminar, we explore why efforts to reset and fix workplace challenges often miss the mark, what derails these efforts, and how to design solutions that future-proof your workplace and leadership.

The "Yin and Yang" seminar highlights the differences between leadership and management, where tension develops in teams, and the choosing the most impactful investments in recruitment and leadership development. It emphasises the importance of diagnosing workplace challenges, how to engage meaningfully with teams, and identifying effective solutions that suit the situation. Participants will apply new perspectives to familiar situations in an interactive and dynamic learning environment.

Drawing on 20 years of experience in leadership development, workplace talent, and project management, the seminar also incorporates insights from neuroscience, human development theory, and adult learning. Maria’s expertise as an evaluator of leadership and people development programs provides a unique perspective on what solutions work and why.

This seminar is for team leaders, recruitment, L&D, and organisational development specialists, as well as business leaders and owners looking to respond to challenges with increased confidence.

With a 40+ year career, Maria has transitioned from leading teams to becoming a leadership development facilitator and executive coach. She is an alumnus of Harvard’s Kennedy School program, "The Art and Practice of Leadership Development," and holds coaching credentials from the NeuroLeadership Institute and Vertical Development Institute. She is a member of the ICF and AES.
